Garage 88

Recently I tagged along and attended an event at Garage 88; they were filming for a "Ministry of Sound Maximum Bass commercial", quite a mouthful if you ask me haha. It was a private event so I feel pretty privileged to be able to attend, although it was kinda through my cousin who was invited because they wanted his GTR in the background of some shots. The first thing you'd see when you arrive at Garage 88 were big trucks filled with some super expensive looking equipment. I even overheard that one of the cameras that were being used had a price tag of half a million dollars, apparently. Like damn I could have walked away half a million dollars richer ;). I didn't manage to capture any pictures of the equipment but if you have a sharp eye, you can make out some of the fancy stuff they used (cables, gigantic spotlights and a crap load of tripods). It was a long and tedious day, some scenes taking over 15 tries to get the perfect shot no joke. Seems too extreme if you ask me but hey, pretty excited to see the final product seeing all the hard work they put into filming it.

Being a "private" event, I wasn't necessarily allowed to take photos. I was even told not to when the owner of Garage 88 spotted me hunched over squatting trying to get a nice angle of some car haha. He was quite nice about it though, saying that it was a "private" event and that I wasn't allowed. But, that didn't stop me haha. If you saw me at the event you would have seen me running around the place, hiding behind cars and sitting in random corners trying to sneak some pictures. I admit, yes I do feel somewhat bad because he seemed like a really nice guy so Dom, if you're ever reading this somehow, I'm sorry but I couldn't let this chance pass haha.

A couple of days ago, one of my friends asked me to do a photoshoot for his DC5. He did offer to pay for it but yknow, experience pays for itself. It was super fun and I got some experience for rolling/panning shots. Would definitely do it again so if anyone has any type of car and would like to assist me in getting some experience, hit me up ;) haha. I'll post up some of my favourite pictures from the shoot.

The rest of the photos are floating somewhere on my facebook haha.

Quite a long post this time round but it is what it is. Anyways I hope everyone is doing extremely swell and that everything is super fantastic.

Peace homies.
