Cars and Coffee

The first Cars and Coffee event I've attended in a long while ever since the first one at Terry Hills was cancelled, was.. okay to say the least. It did not necessarily meet my expectations, but to be fair, I was hoping to see some super crazy unicorns. So I guess my expectations were kinda sky high, only a bit. The best thing that I spotted was, ironically, parked outside away from the Cars and Coffee venue; the STI variant for the Subaru WRX gc8. I'm not sure why it wasn't part of the event but I'm super happy that I wondered off from the main venue looking for one of my friends. Over the past few months, the body shape of the gc8 has really grown on me, probably due to the fact that I own one myself haha. So seeing this one up close was something else, and it somewhat made the event worth the trek, kind of. Also seeing the BMW i8 was pretty neat, literally looked like something from the future.

The event itself was, as I previously said, wasn't that great, but it was due to my self-hype in conjunction with the searing hot weather. If it were my guess I would say it was around 27 - 30+ degrees give or take. There was barely any shade on the main field where 99% of the cars were showcased so everyone ended up being very bothered and agitated, including myself. So we spent majority of our time under some trees near the main entrance, which was okay, but I missed out on a hell of a lot of potential pictures. There's always next time I guess.

As I type this, my exam period creeps closer and closer, so I guess I'd best be studying haha.

Hope everyone is swell.

Peace homies.
